He worked for 20 years with PI Industries Ltd, a leading Indian Agrochemical, Specialty Chemical, and the largest Contract Manufacturing Company in India including 14 years as an Executive Director and he was a non-executive Director on the Board till May 2016. He developed a Contract Manufacturing (CRAMS) business model and led it to be the most successful CRAMS business model for Agrochemicals & Specialty Chemicals in the country. He has extensive experience of setting up of Greenfield chemical manufacturing plants, manufacturing of hazardous chemicals, setting up of R&D centre. He has more than 15 years of experience of working on Audit & CSR Committees including as Chairman of CSR Committee.

S Sivakumar is the Group Head of Agri and IT Businesses of ITC Limited. He is the Chairman of Technico Agri Sciences Limited and Vice Chairman of ITC Infotech India Limited and its subsidiaries in the UK and USA.

ITC’s trailblazing e-Choupal initiative was developed and executed under Sivakumar’s leadership of the Agri-Business Division.

The topper of the Class of 1983 from the Institute of Rural Management Anand, (IRMA), Sivakumar worked with a farmers’ cooperative for six years before joining ITC in 1989. Sivakumar is a member on the Advisory Council to the Ministry of Rural Development of Government of India on the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, the Commodity Derivatives Advisory Committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Board of Governors of Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).

Among other organisations, Sivakumar has served on the Boards of India’s National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), and Indo US Knowledge Initiative on Agriculture, the Private Sector Committee of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), and World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Social Innovation.

Dr. G Ravi Prasad did his Doctorate in Agricultural Chemistry from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He also did his Management Development, Program and Supply Chain Management program from IIM, Ahmedabad, Advanced Management Program (AMP) from INSEAD, Paris.

Before being President at Coromandel International Limited, Dr. Ravi Prasad worked as Vice President in Zuari Industries Ltd, Goa, General Manager Nagarjuna Fertilisers And Chemicals Ltd, EID Parry and Coromandel Indag. Currently, he advises India’s largest fertilizer group – IFFCO.

Dr. Ravi Prasad is an invited speaker to Urea/Ammonia Pricing forecasts, transportation of hazardous chemicals on a frequent basis at IBC Asia, Singapore, and several other management schools. He is also a guest speaker on current aspects of agriculture at Management Institutes – IIMB, IIMA & IIMK, World Bank Sponsored Seminar and seminars conducted by FAI, Govt of India, CII, Indian Chamber of commerce, FICCI.

Mr. Guy Roland Goves

Mr. Goves has over 40 years’ experience in Agri-Business Management, Business Finance, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Leading Innovative new business models and Business Excellence assessment processes.

Mr. Goves was the innovator in Establishing and running Rural retail networks, Establishing Fresh produce supply chain from farm to fork. At Tata, he was Business Excellence Assessor under the TBEM process (Tata Business Excellency Model – Based on the US Baldridge Model).

His strength lies in managing people and creating leaders. During his span of a professional career, Mr. Goves has donned Leadership Roles at Rallis – Business Head Fertiliser and Seeds Vertical, Tata Chemicals- Head of Fertiliser Business, Head of Retail Business, Head of Strategy CNB and CEO of Khet-Se which was a Jv company between Tatas and Total produce Ireland. At Deepak Fertilisers he was President Crop Nutrition Business and Member of Internal Board as well as Chairman of Desai Fruit and vegetables (DFV).

Mr. Goves studied at La Martiniere College Lucknow, has Post Graduate in Applied Economics from Lucknow University, is a Certified Corporate Director (Institute of Directors) went to Cornell University, USA for Advanced Agribusiness course and did a Leadership excellence programme jointly conducted by the University of Michigan Business school

Dr. B. Venkateswarlu

Dr. B. Venkateswarlu holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology. He served ICAR for over 35 years as a senior scientist, principal scientist, and Director. Dr. Venkateswarlu was Vice-Chancellor of Maratwada Agricultural University Parbhani till recently. Dr. Venkateswarlu made extensive contributions in the areas of bio-fertilisers, bio-pesticides, PGPR, and other areas of biotech applications in dry-land agriculture. He published over 250 research papers, 20 books and 100 conference presentations with total citations of 4500 and H index of 32 (Google Scholar). He received four national awards from ICAR, two state-level awards and several memorial lecture awards from professional societies in India. Conferred the outstanding crop scientist award by the International crop science congress in 2017, Dr. Venkateswarlu is a fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences. He served as chair /co-chair/member of several review /expert committees of Ministry of Agriculture, ICAR, DBT, and Planning Commission etc. Currently, he is serving as the member of the Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) of the Govt. of India and co-Chair of the Agricultural Biotechnology task force of Dept. of Biotechnology.

Dr. P V Mohan Rao,

Dr. Mohan Rao is a plant physiologist by profession and guides the family business of Pasura Group, which is now into the third generation of entrepreneurship. His love for plant science has helped many farmers to produce better crops. He is a strong promoter of the belief that “Human nutrient deficiencies can be taken care if only plants are fed with enough nutrients that nourish human health”. In this direction, he is spearheading the technologies to make plants have a healthy life so that human can be healthy.
